State and Local Law Enforcement
| We request a Department ID be faxed to our office to process your order. The ID must have the name of the person placing the order. We may also accept a letter on department letterhead stating the person placing the order is authorized to purchase a badge representing that department. The letter must be signed by a superior officer. We rserve the right to contact the department to verify employment.
Federal Law Enforcement
| On any badge representing, mentioning, or resembling a Federal Agency, we require both a Federal picture ID and a letter on department letterhead, signed by a superior officer specifically stating that the person placing the order has authorization to purchase a badge representing the agency. There are no exceptions!

Example
Here is an example of what a Department Letter of authorization might look like. It needs to be on department letterhead and explicitly state that the person placing the order is an employee of that department and authorized to purchases a badge representing it. It must then be signed by a superior officer.
An example of acceptable wording:
Petty Officer Smith is authorized to purchase a U.S. Navy Law Enforcement badge.
